I’ve kinda been missing on the blog front lately. Been getting wisdom teeth pulled, been moving to new land with Protest in SL and making it into a little paradise I never want to leave, and meeting new friends! ♥ I ponder dropping my blog from time to time, and when I get wrapped up with other things I definitely get very tempted… But I dug some older pieces out of my inventory and had a cute summer look going on (to fit the theme of our very lush land!), so I decided maybe I should give blogging a try again. Nova Release!

Kaethe recently released a wonderful new skin named Nova, and I think she’s absolutely stunning! She comes in five tones, Cream, Lumiel, Peachy, Dusty, and Sunkissed. Each skin comes with teeth, or an open mouth, freckles, and three different brow colors. There are 8 different makeups, packaged together in pairs, and five different lip makeups on tattoo layers that also have the parted lip options. I’m trying to get back in the spin of things, so here’s a quick post between work and bedtime.

I came up with this look the other day for hosting at E.B.S., the Emergency Broadcast System. It’s a ridiculously awesome, filthy and carefree club owned by the most amazing DJ I’ve ever heard spin in Second Life. Better than some of the ones I’ve heard in real life, now that I think about it… Anyways, I got this fun new blindfold from Panda Express and had been considering making a copy with the ivy turned transparent… But I ended up loving the splash of color from the leaves too much! There are different color options for it, and Kioko created a variety of themed blindfolds, so there’s really something for everyone!

I’ve been pretty busy with life, but things are finally settling down and I’ve got a chance to breathe! I’ve gotta see the dentist next week, but I’m oddly excited about it. So without much more rambling, we’ll get on to the blog goodies.

Just in time for the chilly weather (it was 23° F here today!), Kaethe has released a limited edition skin with some stunning makeup and several features. The eyeshadow is smokey and several different hues, reminiscent of the aurora borealis, and I can’t seem to take it off once I slipped into it! The new and improved lips of the skin are glossy and look oh so very kissable, and even come with the popular slightly parted mouth option. It’s a welcome and nicely done addition, and other options include 4 brow choices, a clean face or two different freckle choices, and cleavage or normal chest options. I think my favorite thing about her variety of choices is that there is a skin with each combination directly on the skin, rather than having to load up on tattoo layers to achieve your desired look. This leaves you free to use your layers for other things, which is always a win for me! With so many possible combos for options, this gives you a total of 48 skins, and all are available for just 899L.

Protest and I have been living in a magical winter wonderland, thanks to his wonderful skills at decorating the home area. I got the urge to get a little foxy again, and I really feel a bit like an arctic fox in all the snow. It’s been a long time since I’ve updated, mainly because holiday stress has been overwhelming me lately. The joys of working retail during Christmas always get me, and this year I’m faring a tiny bit better but still struggling with it. However, today I go in to close and had a nice morning with dozing in, getting breakfast, and watching Justified. And while I watched, I did my usual multi-tasking thing and tweaked and added to a look I made last night to host possibly my last shift at Club Zero.

I got this dress as I went to check ~TSG~ for something else and just couldn’t resist it any longer. I may be crazy, or a little obsessed with sweets, but the colors really remind me of Neapolitan ice cream! It also comes in a tan version, for those who don’t care for pink.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted… Honestly, retail hell has struck! But there’s an adorable new dress out from Blah. at Fashionably Late, and I couldn’t resist creating a classy little black and white look. Between the colors and the hair style, which is new from [e] and available at Collabor88, I feel a bit like a first lady. However, I doubt you’d find one attending any formal gatherings in such a short dress, haha! I tried to offset this with some nice hosiery, so perhaps it all worked out.

Vintage via Mon Tissu

What began as an update to get a last minute reminder out about Elikatira’s amazing one year anniversary sale snowballed into a Mon Tissu fest! To make things quick and simple, today’s look began with a hairstyle and flats from the [e] sale and it all led to a very sweet vintage look with a Mon Tissu outfit. Simple and elegant style was accentuated with a soft floral shrug and a dainty but detailed golden necklace. My favorite piece would have to be my first successful mesh item. I’ve tried on demos for different brands in clothing and hair and been unlucky so far. I know you have to adapt to mesh instead of vice-verse, but I refuse to change my shape to the level with some items required. Mon Tissu’s new pencil skirt, however, uses a mesh prim for the crotch as well as layers. The two combine to make a perfect fit with the flexible aspects of mesh!

Before I forget, be sure and swing by Elikatira before the end of the 30th to take advantage of 70% off on all items, even fat packs! The prices are great and I grabbed up quite a few packs of my favorites. ♥

I’m pretty thrilled with a few things in SL, right now. Turnip’s Homes and Stuff released a fall version of the skydome Protest and I keep our house in, so now it finally looks like we’re moving past spring! I still need to find some more fitting grass and maybe a tree or two, but I’ve got some ideas in mind.

This really helped encourage today’s bundled up look! I got a cute new sweater from Blah. that I absolutely adore. The line has a lot of bold and cutesy graphic options, and I picked the fox immediately. They’ve been my favorite fluffy animal for a while, so it was no surprise. The bottom prim for the shirt was easy to edit as you could adjust in one direction (width, height, depth) if you preferred, instead of only being able to size the whole item smaller or larger. I had no trouble matching up the pattern from the layer to the prim because of this. Being sculpted, extreme hip motions in poses can affect the fit and cause clipping, but it’s honestly pretty ao friendly! I don’t mind wearing it out and about at all. I also got a cute scarf from Tokidoki, a new store for me. With some adjusting on size and orientation, and a little extra tinting, it added a really nice touch. ♥
